What are the benefits of face exfoliation?
At Like It On Top we believe that it's important to exfoliate the skin once per week. There are multiple benefits that come with face exfoliation including clearing any dry or dead skin from the face. It can also increase the skin's radiance, clarity, and youthfulness, as well as unclog your pores to prevent acne. It also enables your skincare products to penetrate deeper into the skin.
We recommend using Grind (face scrub protection) which is all natural and vegan made with ingredients such as kaolin clay to help with pores, blackheads, whiteheads and to absorb excess sebum (oil). It also contains a very delicate face exfoliant to gently remove the build up of dead skin cells. The glycerin brightens the skin, while the lavender essential oil kills any bacteria, uncligs pores and reduces inflammation.
Regular skin exfoliation can also even the skin tone and boost circulation. You can add Grind to the 4-Step Kit routine like this:
We always start with step 1: Filth (dirt cleansing protection) to cleanse any dirt from the skin. It's important to protect skin against dirt by removing any build-up of oils and make-up. In fact, our dirt cleansing protection is perfect for heavy makeup users and may be applied to wet or dry skin. This cleanser also protects against blackheads and whiteheads to keep skin clear from acne. You can apply Filth using a cotton pad on dry skin.
Then use Grind (face scrub protection) here to exfoliate the skin. Shake a spoonful into the palm of your hands and sprinkle a few drops of water, rub hands to create a paste, gently massage onto cleansed face and neck, rinse with warm water.
Then use step 2: Stroke (double cleansing protection) to even skin tone and reduce hyper-pigmentation. Plant based ingredients include argan oil to regulate sebum on the skin for a smoother and calmer complexion.
After cleansing skin step 3: Fortify (toning protection) is used to strengthen the skin's outer layer by resetting pH balance. The skin’s ability to hold water, or remain hydrated, is critical for maintaining healthy skin. Natural ingredients include rose water and pink rose petals to maintain skin’s pH balance, control excess oil, reduce redness, eliminate acne, dermatitis and eczema; aloe vera to heal and soothe skin; and vitamin E to nourish and protect skin, and reduce UV damage.
Toned skin should be followed by step 4: Sustain (oil cleansing protection) to maintain skin's hydration to support with acne, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and plumping.
Follow the instructions
It's always important to follow the instructions when it comes to skincare and face exfoliation, so we suggest with once (or twice) per week.
